Novy Venting Hobs

Novy venting hobs belong to the Novy Easy series. Each one has an extractor built into the hob, which draws steam and cooking smells down at the surface. That makes them a good fit for kitchen islands, sloping ceilings or open-plan rooms where an overhead hood would block the view. All are finished in black and come in 80 cm and 90 cm widths.

The first choice is how the air leaves the room. The 80 cm Easy comes in two versions: a duct-out model that sends air outside, and a recirculation model that filters the air and returns it to the kitchen. Ducting removes moisture as well as smells and gives the higher airflow, up to 610 m³/h on booster against 512 m³/h on the recirculation version. Recirculation needs no outside wall or ducting route, so it is easier to fit in an island or a flat. The 90 cm Prestige can be set up either way and gives you more room on the hob for large pans.

Every model has nine fan speeds plus a booster for searing or a stockpot at full boil. On the lowest settings noise starts at around 42 to 47 dB, so a gentle simmer won't drown out conversation. The duct-out models also list an A+++ energy rating for the extractor.
