Novy Telescopic Cooker Hoods

Novy's telescopic cooker hoods come from the Fusion Pro series. They're built to sit inside a wall cabinet above the hob, so the hood stays out of sight until you pull the front forward to cook. They suit kitchens where you want a clean run of units with no chimney or canopy on show. Every width comes in anthracite or white, so you can match light or dark cabinetry.

Width is the main choice. Choose from 60 cm, 90 cm and 120 cm models. As a rule, the hood should be at least as wide as the hob below it, and a wider hood catches more of the steam that drifts outwards from large pans. Performance is closely matched across the sizes. Each has three speeds plus a booster and reaches roughly 632 to 637 m³/h on boost. Noise runs from 48 dB on the lowest setting to 61 or 62 dB at full power. The 60 cm models are rated A+ for energy, and the 90 cm and 120 cm models are rated A. All can be ducted outside or set up to recirculate. Recirculation is useful where an external vent isn't practical, although ducting usually removes moisture more effectively.
