A brief overview of Novy Products

Novy's range here centres on extraction, so most of this page is cooker hoods, with gas, induction and venting hobs alongside. It suits anyone planning a kitchen around how it handles steam and cooking smells.

Among Novy cooker hoods, wall-mounted designs make up the largest group: the Salsa at 60 and 90 cm, the glass-fronted Vision at 75, 90 and 120 cm in white or black glass, and the Flatline at 90 and 120 cm. For islands, Pureline ceiling hoods fit flush with the ceiling, from the 90 cm Mini Pureline to the 120 cm Pureline Pro and 150 cm Maxi Pureline. Novy says these use edge extraction, drawing air in around the panel's edge. Fusion Pro telescopic hoods pull out from beneath a wall cabinet, and Mini Pureline and Essence canopy hoods build into cabinetry. Most have three speeds plus a booster for searing. Check the extraction mode: most can be ducted outside or set to recirculate, but some Vision versions are ducted only, and some Flatline and Maxi Pureline versions are sold as shells that need a separate motor.

In Novy Cooking, the gas hobs are set into the worktop burner by burner rather than as one panel, with cast iron pan supports and rotary knobs. Single-burner 30 cm units such as the Altar and Azuma let you plan your own layout, and there are 60 cm and 90 cm tops too. Where listed, they have flame failure safety devices and LPG compatibility. For induction, there are Comfort hobs at 65 and 80 cm and the 80 cm Power, which adds a bridging zone and two flexible zones for larger pans. Easy venting hobs draw steam down through the induction surface, in 80 cm ducted or recirculating versions and a 90 cm Prestige model.

Start with where you cook. Over an island, compare Pureline widths with your hob, or choose a venting hob if you want no hood at all. Against a wall, weigh the Salsa, Vision and Flatline on width and finish; under wall cabinets, look at telescopic and canopy hoods. Then confirm whether you can duct outside.
