Novy ceiling cooker hoods are built into the ceiling, not hung from it. They suit open-plan kitchens and island hobs where a chimney hood would block the view. The range is built around the Pureline family in three widths: the 90 cm Mini Pureline, the 120 cm Pureline Pro and the 150 cm Maxi Pureline. Each one can be set up for ducted extraction or recirculation, and each has three speeds plus a booster for short bursts of heavy cooking.
Width is the first thing to settle. As a rule, the hood should be at least as wide as the hob, and wider gives better capture over a large island. The Pureline Pro is rated A and moves up to 617 m³/h in normal use, or 714 m³/h on booster, with noise between 39 and 59 dB. It comes in stainless steel, white or Mineral Black. The Mini Pureline comes in white. It has a lower top airflow of 601 m³/h on booster and an A+ rating, with noise starting at 37 dB. The Maxi Pureline comes in stainless steel or white and is sold as a shell only. It needs a separate motor, which lets you choose its power and where it goes. It has push button and remote control.
