A brief overview of Novy Wall Mounted Cooker Hoods
Novy wall mounted cooker hoods come in three series, Salsa, Flatline and Vision, in widths of 60, 75, 90 and 120 cm. Every model has three fan speeds plus a booster, so you can run it gently while simmering and boost it for frying or searing. As a rule of thumb, pick a hood at least as wide as your hob.
Salsa is the straightforward option: a stainless steel hood in 60 or 90 cm with an A energy rating, a booster of around 620 to 640 m³/h, and the choice of ducting outside or recirculating. Flatline has a slimmer profile in stainless steel or black, at 90 or 120 cm. The complete models are rated A+ and start from about 35 dB on the lowest setting, and even the booster stays below 60 dB. Some Flatline hoods are sold as a shell only, with no motor, so you'll need to buy a separate motor for them.
Vision hoods have a glass front, in black glass with stainless steel or black trim, or in white glass, and come in 75, 90 and 120 cm. Some models have touch controls. The key choice here is how the hood is vented. Extraction-only Vision models must be ducted outside. They are rated A+, with up to around 780 m³/h on booster and about 51 to 52 dB in normal use. Recirculation versions filter the air and return it to the room, so no outside duct is needed, useful where a duct route isn't practical. The trade-off is less airflow, up to around 490 m³/h, and more noise, roughly 64 to 70 dB.
To narrow it down, start with ducting. If you can vent outside, an extraction-only Vision or a Flatline gives strong airflow at low noise. If you can't, look at the Salsa, Flatline or the recirculation Vision models. Then match the width to your hob and choose a finish.
