A larder fridge gives its whole cabinet over to chilled food, with no freezer section. It suits households that buy plenty of fresh produce, or that already have a separate freezer elsewhere. Before buying, measure the height and width of the space and leave a little room around the sides and back so air can circulate. Also check which way the door opens and make sure it suits your kitchen layout, especially if the fridge will sit next to a wall.

Siemens freestanding larder fridges are tall, full-size designs with automatic defrosting, electronic touch controls and a temperature display, and they are internet connected.
