A guide to Rangemaster Gas Range Cookers
Rangemaster gas range cookers use gas for both the hob and the ovens. They suit cooks who like a visible flame they can turn up or down instantly. This page covers two Rangemaster families, Classic and Professional+, each in 90 cm, 100 cm and 110 cm widths. All the models here run on natural gas and have an A energy efficiency rating.
Classic has the traditional range look, with porthole oven doors and an optional chrome effect trim. Its main oven is fully programmable and has a timer, and the 100 cm and 110 cm models add a warming zone for keeping plates and dishes hot. Professional+ looks more like a commercial kitchen cooker. Its hobs have cast-iron pan supports and a flame safety device, which cuts the gas if a burner goes out, and some sizes come with a solid oven door rather than a porthole.
Both families share a few practical Rangemaster details. The Handyrack fits on the oven door, so a roast slides out with the door and is easy to baste or check. Steadfast pan supports are designed to stop pans wobbling, and the Catch-rite door fixture is a sturdy stainless steel catch. The Nite-Lite clock dims itself at night, which is welcome in an open-plan kitchen.
Start with the width your space allows, because a wider cooker gives you more room on the hob and in the ovens. Then choose between the styling and programmable oven of Classic and the more professional look of Professional+. If you'd rather have gas burners over electric ovens, see Rangemaster dual fuel range cookers, or compare every fuel type in Rangemaster range cookers.
