A brief overview of Miro Integrated Cooker Hoods
Miro integrated cooker hoods fit inside a wall cabinet above the hob, so the extractor is hidden behind your units instead of standing out as a feature. They suit kitchens where you want an unbroken run of cabinetry. There are two designs here: Donizetti, with a glass panel and touch controls in a stainless and black finish, and Alto, a stainless steel hood with an anti-condensation design.
Start with width. Donizetti comes in 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm sizes, to match a standard hob, a wider 90 cm hob or a range cooker. As a rule, a hood should be at least as wide as the hob below it. Alto is a 900mm model with three speeds plus a booster, airflow from 249 to 710 m³/h and an A energy rating. It can vent outside through ducting or recirculate the air through filters, which helps when there's no outside wall nearby. Its anti-condensation design aims to cut down moisture building up on the hood, which is worth having if you boil or steam a lot.
To narrow it down, measure your hob and the cabinet above it. If you need 600mm or 1200mm, Donizetti is the option. At 900mm, compare Alto's anti-condensation design and published performance figures with Donizetti's glass and touch-control styling.
