Description
The AEG SO64IB0BFZ 6000 Series 60cm induction hob brings together powerful performance, flexible cooking options and a premium matt black design, making it a practical and stylish choice for modern kitchens. Finished with AEG’s SaphirMatt® scratch-resistant surface, the hob is designed to maintain its sophisticated appearance while standing up to the demands of everyday cooking. Its ceramic glass surface is easy to wipe clean, while the two-sided bevelled edge adds a refined finishing touch.
With four induction cooking zones, the SO64IB0BFZ gives you plenty of space to prepare several dishes at once. The two 210mm zones on the left each provide up to 3200W of power, while the 145mm front-right zone reaches 2500W and the 180mm rear-right zone offers up to 2800W. A bridging zone lets you combine two cooking areas when using larger pans, griddles or other oversized cookware, giving you extra flexibility when preparing bigger meals.
Fourteen power levels allow you to adjust the heat accurately for everything from gentle simmering to fast boiling. When you need an extra burst of heat, the Booster function delivers increased power to help bring water to the boil quickly or heat pans faster. Automatic Heat Up also helps reduce the time needed to reach the required temperature before settling at your chosen power level.
The responsive touch controls make the hob straightforward to operate, with a clear red LED display providing useful information at a glance. Automatic pan detection helps ensure energy is directed only where suitable cookware is positioned, while the Pause function gives you a convenient way to temporarily reduce cooking settings if you need to step away.
Useful timing features add further convenience. The built-in timer and Minute Minder help you keep track of cooking times, while EcoTimer™ can switch off the cooking zone before the end of the selected time and use residual heat to finish cooking efficiently. OffSound Control also gives you the option to reduce unnecessary operating sounds.
For added convenience, Hob2Hood connectivity allows the hob to communicate wirelessly with a compatible AEG cooker hood. This can automatically adjust the hood’s fan settings according to your cooking activity, helping you focus on preparing your food rather than changing extraction levels manually.
Safety is also well considered. A control panel lock helps prevent settings from being changed accidentally, while residual heat indicators clearly show when cooking zones are still hot. Automatic power off provides additional reassurance, and an acoustic signal helps alert you to selected functions and settings.
At 59cm wide, the AEG SO64IB0BFZ is designed to suit standard 60cm kitchen layouts. With its powerful induction technology, flexible bridging function, intuitive controls and durable SaphirMatt® finish, it offers a combination of speed, precision, convenience and understated style for everyday home cooking.
OptiFix™ installation is designed to support straightforward fitting, although professional electrical installation is required because the hob needs a 32A supply and does not include a plug. A 1.5-metre cable is supplied, helping provide everything needed for integration into a suitable kitchen worktop at home.
