Miele use Cast Iron counter weights in their machines. Other manufacturers have a concrete stabiliser to prevent vibration. As the machine ages, the concrete cracks and crumbles, causing the machine to vibrate and become unstable. Cast Iron in a Miele will not crack, crumble or corrode over time
