RDO offer a selection of vented tumble dryers by AEG, Beko, Hoover and Zanussi. Vented tumble dryers use internal sensors so you get maximum efficiency out of your dryer, however, they are becoming increasingly uncommon in favour of far more energy efficient Heat Pump Tumble Dryers.

Vented Tumble Dryers
Vented tumble dryers are available in freestanding or built in options. This type of dryer uses a flume to draw the warm air formed during the drying cycle out to an external escape. However, this method of drying isn’t so energy efficient due to the large amount of hot air needed for the drying process.
That said vented tumble dryers do now use internal sensors to determine when your load is dry and when to stop, rather than a timer. With timer drying it meant you may have been wasting money trying to dry clothes that were already dry.
You will find that all vented tumble dryers are rated ‘C’ for energy efficiency. Because of this other methods of tumble drying are preferred and fewer manufacturers are making vented tumble dryers.
