Sinks
Standard sinks come in a choice of many different widths, with the most popular cabinet size being 45cm, 50cm or 60cm.
When choosing the right sink you need to decide whether you need a sink with a drainer or bowl and also the number of bowls needed. This is often determined by how you are likely to use the sink. For example if you have a dishwasher one bowl may be deemed sufficient. If you don’t then a sink with one and a half or two bowls may be appropriate. Should you clean large items such as baking trays in the sink, then a larger bowl will be of more benefit.
There are also different materials the sink can be made from including stainless steel, ceramic or a coloured composite material.
In addition you will need to know how you want your sink positioned, whether inset (installed into a pre-prepared worktop hole), undermount (an integrated fitting underneath the work surface) or overmount (the edges of the sink sit on the adjacent counter top).
Whatever your choice, you want a sink that is of a good design, utilises space well and is easy to clean.
