Recycling & Removal

Our responsible recycling service

What's included?

We can remove your old appliance on the same day that we deliver your new one. This service is available across mainland UK and appliances are recycled in accordance with the WEEE directive.

Unless you have also selected our installation service, we ask that your old appliance is disconnected, defrosted (where applicable) and pulled out of situ prior to our arrival.

Please note that disconnection comes included as part of our installation service.

Recycling charges

The cost of this service goes towards safely transporting the product to a suitable recycling plant.

The majority of appliances can be removed/recycled from £20, but some larger appliances (e.g. range cookers) may be up to £50.

To confirm charges and availability, please add an item to your online basket or refer to the product listing page.

Recycling FAQs

What is the WEEE directive? 🤔

WEEE stands for Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment.

The WEEE Directive was introduced in 2006 to make manufacturers and retailers responsible for collecting and recycling WEEE.

An item is classed as being WEEE if it needs electricity to do what it is intended to do.

As part of the government’s WEEE directive, we’ll always dispose of your appliances in the most environmentally-friendly way possible.

Is disconnection included in your installation service? 🔧

Yes, our installation service includes disconnection of your old appliance.

However, we will only remove your old appliance if you have selected the recycling option.

Will you collect my old appliance on a different day to delivery? 🚚

Unfortunately we can only remove your old appliance on the same day that we deliver your new one.

If your old appliance is not ready for collection on the day of delivery, then we will be unable to return at a later date to collect it.
