A chimney hood is a wall mounted style of hood and comes in many different styles. These vary greatly from a traditional looking chimney hood to a modern vertical flat design. The later is great is you have previously suffered from banging your head on a traditional chimney hood as you cooked!
Chimney hoods can be used in both re-circulating and ducting out modes and have a wide range of performance in terms of the power and noise levels they generate.
They also come in a wide variety of widths and colours since they are commonly positioned to compliment a range cooker or hob below.
There are recommended distances for a chimney hood to be placed above a cooking appliance. These can vary according to the hood manufacture and what is positioned below.  They can vary from around 400mm up to 750mm.
