Dishwashers

Everyone likes the convenience of having a dishwasher to clean your crockery and cooking equipment.
As well as being convenient dishwashers are also time savers. On average it takes around 9 minutes to load and unload a dishwasher, whereas to hand wash the same load will take you around an hour.
Dishwashers come in two main sizes, the standard 60cm width dishwasher and the smaller 45cm width slim-line dishwasher. Each is available as a freestanding dishwasher or a built in dishwasher variant.
In addition there is also a smaller compact dishwasher version that can sit on top of a worktop, ideal where space is at a premium or for mobile home or caravan owners.
Each dishwasher will have an indication as to its capacity by quoting the number of place settings it can hold.
Dishwashers have improved their performance quality greatly and are now more energy efficient, using less water and emitting less noise. A good way to test the insulation of a dishwasher is to play some music on your mobile phone, put it inside the dishwasher and then close the door to see if you can still hear it. Just remember to take it out before starting a programme though!
