Ceramic Slot In Cookers

A ceramic slot in cooker works by the warming the heating elements found underneath the glass surface and transferring the radiant heat generated, to a particular cooking zone.
They are more efficient than the older sealed plate slot in cookers, but cooking technology has now advanced further with the introduction of cooking with an induction slot in cooker.
Ceramic slot in cookers are popular because they are simple to use and relatively easy to clean. They offer the perfect solution for family cooking by making use of both hob and oven cooking facilities.
When considering your choice of ceramic cooker you need to ensure you have the correct power connection available in your kitchen to operate it. Both connection and disconnection should always be undertaken by a qualified electrician, please ask about our installation service details of which are available here.
There are many different features to consider when choosing a ceramic slot in cooker. Besides simple things such as the colour, you may wish to also consider self cleaning aids such as pyrolytic cleaning or having liners to reduce the amount of cleaning needed by absorbing food deposits.
Other considerations include whether to have one large oven or the more popular two cavities – usually an oven and a grill, any particular cooking programme you need on the oven (such as cooking pizzas), telescopic shelving (making it easier to get food in and out) and a residue heat indicator.

At RDO we have a wide selection of ceramic slot in cookers from companies such as Zanussi, AEG, Beko, Smeg, Blomberg and Rangemaster.
Our showroom in Reigate a has a selection of ceramic slot in ovens on display, while our showroom at Salfords has a selection of mainly ex-display items on show (when available). You can check the current models on display by using the filters on our website or you can call us. Both locations are within easy reach of East or West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and the M25.
