Gas Hobs

Gas hobs are available in a variety of widths with the most popular being 60cm consisting of 4 burners, 70cm with 5 burners and 90cm with typically 5 or 6 burners.

There is no greater cooking spectacle than cooking on a gas burner which is why so many TV chefs still like to use it.

More recently we have seen induction hobs grow in popularity by offering many of the benefits of gas cooking such as precise temperature control and instant heat, but benefitting from being much easier to clean! That said some gas hobs are mounted onto a glass surface making them slightly easier to clean.

Many gas hobs will feature a more powerful wok burner, which will be ideal for things such as Asian cooking or dishing up a quick stir–fry. They will usually feature safety flames failure and will need an electric connection as well as gas.
