Miele Gas Hobs
Miele gas hobs are available in a choice of stainless steel or ceramic glass styles. They offer 6 different width sizes; 600mm, 650mm, 750mm, 800mm, 900mm and 950mm. They feature a variety of different burner sizes, with smaller energy efficient burners, as well as fast more powerful wok burners. There are two different types of wok burner, a mono burner which controls both rings at the same time and a dual burner which regulates the two flame rings separately.
Miele gas hobs are safety conscious. In the event of a flame being extinguished whilst cooking due to an event such as a pan boiling over it will automatically stop the supply of gas. On some models you can also set a timer for each burner. The minute minder will sound an audible signal at the end of the elapsed time to let you know your food is ready.
All Miele gas hobs have a couple of nice additional features. Firstly, they are fitted with electronic controls to make it easy to turn the hob on, so no need to press or hold the controls in. In addition, Miele pot rests can be put in your dishwasher and some models also benefit from Miele PerfectClean non-stick burners heads thereby making cleaning that little bit easier.
All Miele gas hobs are tested to last for up to 20 years based upon a typical family usage, so you can be confident of their quality and build quality. All this helps put Miele innovation and ease of use at the forefront of your consideration.
Gas hobs are available in a variety of widths with the most popular being 60cm consisting of 4 burners, 70cm with 5 burners and 90cm with typically 5 or 6 burners.
There is no greater cooking spectacle than cooking on a gas burner which is why so many TV chefs still like to use it.
More recently we have seen induction hobs grow in popularity by offering many of the benefits of gas cooking such as precise temperature control and instant heat, but benefitting from being much easier to clean! That said some gas hobs are mounted onto a glass surface making them slightly easier to clean.
Many gas hobs will feature a more powerful wok burner, which will be ideal for things such as Asian cooking or dishing up a quick stir–fry. They will usually feature safety flames failure and will need an electric connection as well as gas.
