Steam Combination Ovens
A steam combination oven utilises two methods of cooking, by mixing a standard convection electric oven with a standard steam oven. The combi oven will feature most of the functionality of both types of oven making it a very versatile kitchen appliance.
You can normally use a steam combination oven in either cooking style on its own or utilise both at the same time. By combining both methods you can decrease cooking times and also have greater control on your cooking results.
For example by combining both dry and moist heats, you can produce roasts that are crispy on the outside but soft and juicy on the inside. Other foods such as pastries or jacket potatoes can achieve similar results.
You can also get some steam combination ovens that are connected to your mains water supply, so you do not have to continuously top up the internal water tank.
Another useful feature to consider is a steam combination oven that gives you the option of utilising a food probe to monitor how your food is cooking and will let you know when it will be ready.
At RDO we have an excellent selection of steam combination ovens (also known as steam combi ovens) from leading names such as Miele, Wolfe, Neff, AEG, Smeg, Siemens, Bosch and Rangemaster.
