Iced Cinnamon Chip Cookies

Iced Cinnamon Chip Cookies
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 package (10 ounces) cinnamon baking chips

Icing
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup shortening
1-1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in cinnamon chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.

In a small mixing bowl, combine icing ingredients; beat on high speed for 1-2 minutes or until fluffy. Spread over cookies. Makes about 3-1/2 dozen.

I came on here to post a chili recipe, saw the word 'cinnamon' next/near the word 'cookie' and had to check it out. I cant wait to try these.

1/2 cup butter
2 cups minced onion
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 cups ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
2 cups chili sauce
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne


Heat the butter in a large non-reactive saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onions and garlic and sauté' for 2 to 3 minutes, until just soft. Pour in the ketchup and chili sauce, and blend in well. Add the rest of the ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
