In keeping with these austere times Leicht kitchens has launched three new styles in its affordable range of Kanto kitchens for 2012. With a wide variety of colours and materials Kanto offers simple, stylish elegance to the contemporary kitchen. Based on the use of standard side panels which can be fitted together to produce whatever layout is required, Kanto kitchens are minimalist, 21st century style. With all Kanto cupboards and drawers handle-less, a sleek look is created that fits both islands, peninsulas and wall units.

Versatility and flexibility characterise Kanto with a huge range of colours from magnolia to sand grey, and in many man-made materials from melamine resin to textured lacquer, they are the perfect urban kitchen. There is also worktops to match.

The simple block layout and standard sizes of units means that Leicht Kanto provide simple, affordable designs. For contrast, open shelving is recommended on back walls for displaying kitchen items or artefacts.

The Kanto range can come in many combinations. The 2012 range shows three new styles. The Kanto-KH/Kanto-PUR-FG combines snow-white, high-gloss lacquered fronts which are contrasted with a Tennessee-walnut veneer open shelving. The linear design is ideal for smaller spaces and galley kitchens.

The Kanto-K/Kanto-KH comes in jura-beech wall units, contrasted by a magnolia island. This style has effective lift-up doors on the wall units for easy access and stop the user ever bumping their head in a confined space.

The Kanto-KH/Kanto-AG shows how horizontally-grained mountain larch wood decor can be combined with an acrylic magnolia to give a softer, less minimalist look. With all handle-less units with push openings allows it to blend into the room and is ideal for open plan kitchens.

Leicht UK Sales Director Graham Hopper says: “At Leicht we recognise that many people are looking for affordable kitchens that don’t compromise on style. The Kanto range is perfect for understated elegance with many colours and looks that work particularly well in smaller kitchens or in contemporary urban homes. The standard sizing and handle-less units make it easier for designing and provide a very modular approach.”
